iVote recently questioned its users on who would win the NL pennant. In the question dated September 20th, users were allowed to choose from those apparent to be in the post season, WHICH included the Mets.
Who will win the NL Pennant?
38 % Cubs
24 % Dodgers
12 % Phillies
20 % Mets
7% Brewers
But in the end, the hapless Metropolitans lost there seemingly insurmountable lead to the Phillies and found themselves out of the post season. For the second year in a row, no less, the New York squad was eliminated on the final day of the regular season.
Many of the iVote users had actually predicted this outcome.
“… the Mets choke again this year”.
“I really hope the Mets can do it…”
But some held the vigil started a year prior.
“Let’s go Mets!!!”
“Mets baby!! Beltran, Wright, Reyes, and Delgado!”
With the beginning of the post season today, the Mets will again root for the National League Champions to beat the American League in the World Series.

I am a hrd core Phillies fan and I do not believe that the Cubs will win the national league pennant considering that they are down 2 - 0. My objective opinion is that it will be between the Dodgers and the Phillies.
This was my thinking even before both of those teams went up 2 - 0 on their competition.
Now here is my biased opinion= GO PHILLIES!!!
