iVote 2.0+ Rules of Use

August 4, 2009, 2:13 pm

With the release of iVote 2.0 Infomedia would like to present some rules for using the iVote app.

Bypassing the language filter by trying to use spaces or special characters to spell a disallowed word isn’t allowed. The comment will be deleted by moderator.

Racism, discriminatory language, racial slurs, and threats of violence or harm will NOT be tolerated and will be deleted. Users will get one warning from the moderator on their profile wall, a second offense will result in a permanent ban from the iVote application.

Spam promoting other websites and services will be deleted and the user warned via their profile page. If the behavior continues the user may be banned.

Any unauthorized use or manipulation of the iVote back-end server, database, or web-services outside of use from within the authorized iPhone application will result in an immediate ban.

Changing usernames is not allowed.

No vote changing.

Accounts will not be deleted, but they can be disassociated with your device.  To disassociate your device means to remove your id and comments once you no longer are using that specific device (iPod Touch, iPhone).  This is to be used when someone upgrades to a newer Apple product ( ie. the Apple 3Gs).

It is the users responsibility to moderate their own wall. Blocking a user will remove all their posts from your wall, and prevent them from seeing your posts on future questions.

INFOMEDIA is proud of the iVote application within the Apple iTunes App store.  It is a community of people from various backgrounds/nationalities/cultures meeting to discuss in a civilized fashion, topics from around the globe.

These rules are intended to assist in maintaining that environment.
